Fear the Walking Dead: Survival rule of the week, misguidance
By Liam O'Leary
Fear the Walking Dead season 7
Guidance is essential to survive a zombie apocalypse, but you could become misguided if you’re like Strand in Fear The Walking Dead.
Last week, I focused on the idea of having guidance in an apocalypse and the importance it has, in being guided from one place to another, and being led to becoming a good person in a world where such people are few and far between. Such guidance is a great benefit to any would-be survivor when adequately provided, but the keyword there is “properly.”
Just like with anything involving other people in a zombie apocalypse, it’s easy to unwittingly wind up in the presence of someone who doesn’t have your best interests at heart. Whether they intend to harm you or to turn you into someone who would actively harm other people, the choice of who you get to guide you is as important as where you want them to show you too.
In the Fear The Walking Dead midseason finale, we saw that Alicia Clark was trying to find the government’s potential haven by following a walker. Meanwhile, I don’t even know where to begin with Strand, who seems to be struggling between trying to do good and trying to outdo himself in doing bad. Either way, the fact that he’s willing to go to war with the only real friend he has is a strong indication of how far off track he’s taken himself.
For this week’s Survival Rule Of The Week, I will discuss how we can wind up being misguided in the zombie apocalypse and where that misguidance might lead us.
