When does The Walking Dead return in 2022?

The Walking Dead’s eleventh and final season will be released in three parts, each consisting of eight episodes. In August 2021, viewers saw the premiere of the finale season, and in October, part one left fans with some significant cliffhangers. Now fans are curious when they will get some resolution to those storylines.

The first part of season 11 focused on the dire need for food and supplies at Alexandria, the Commonwealth, Maggie and Negan’s ongoing tension and the Reapers. At the end of episode eight, Alexandria fought a torrential storm and a fire. At the same time, Euguene found himself in hot water at the Commonwealth; Maggie and Negan agreed to a truce as they, along with Daryl, Elijah and Gabriel, fight the Reapers at Meridian for supplies.

Season 11 has also shown us a very dark side of Aaron, the return of Connie and Virgil, rogue Whisperers at the Hilltop, the introduction of the man who kills Rick Grimes in the comics, Sebastian Milton and Rosita being a badass as she kills a horde of walkers.

When does The Walking Dead return to AMC in 2022?

The Walking Dead will premiere part two of season 11 on AMC on February 20. AMC+ subscribers will be able to view this episode one week earlier, on February 13. The final episode of part two will air on April 10, which will also be the AMC+ release of Fear the Walking Dead’s season seven midseason premiere.

What will viewers see during the second installment of this season?

The Commonwealth Governor, Pamela Milton (Laila Robins), will be introduced. This will be an exciting turn as she is an advocate to the class system of the Commonwealth, which many of the main group’s members will not be on board with.

From the looks of the teaser trailer, it appears the Commonwealth will make it to Alexandria, and some of the main group will find their way to the Commonwealth.

Alexandria requires food and supplies, so hopefully, the Commonwealth will aid them in this need.

Hopefully, things with the Reapers will be wrapped up as this storyline has grown stale, and it really hasn’t done much to advance the story. Something that is vital as the series only has 16 episodes remaining.
