Tom Payne and Jennifer Akerman celebrate birth of their son

Congrats to Tom Payne and his wife, Jennifer Akerman, on the birth of their son. The couple used Akerman’s latest music video for her song “South of the Border” to announce that they were expecting. Known as Final Child in the music world, she used the video to surprise fans at the end of the video showing pregnant belly.

On December 27, Payne posted on IG about the couple’s excitement to welcome their son into the world and start the new year on a positive note.

Tom Payne The Walking Dead and more

Payne portrayed Paul Rovia, aka Jesus on The Walking Dead series, from season six until his death in season nine. His introduction on the series looked like he walked right off the pages of his comic story.

In the season nine midseason finale “Evolution,” Eugene and others noticed strange behavior within a herd of walkers. He heard them whispering, and when they tried to divert the herd with fireworks, they continued on. This would lead to the introduction to the Whisperers and the death of Jesus. His death was a massive shock to the fandom, and many wish he would have stayed on to continue the rest of his story.

He would then star in The Prodigal Son as Malcolm Bright, the son of the serial killer known as the Surgeon. He helped put his father behind bars when he discovered his last victim and called the cops. While working as an NYPD profiler, he is forced to confront his father to gather insight into his crimes when a copycat killer emerges. This series consisted of 22 episodes across two seasons before it was canceled.

With his new role as a father, Payne is sure to be very busy with his family. Hopefully, we will see him in some new projects in the near future.
