Jon Bernthal and Michael Rooker to attend Middle East comic con

Former Walking Dead actors Jon Bernthal and Michael Rooker are scheduled to attend the Middle East Film & Comic-Con in Abu Dhabi.

This year’s event is scheduled for March 4-6, 2022, and will mark the 10th anniversary of the Middle East Film & Comic-Con. Joining Bernthal and Rooker will be Game of Thrones actress Natahlie Emmanuel and voice actor Charles Martinet, known for voicing Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi in Nintendo’s Super Mario game.

More talent will be announced soon, and the event will also have a lineup of International artists, competitions, live music, limited edition merch and exclusive screenings.

Jon Bernthal

Bernthal is a hot commodity right now, starring in some fantastic projects. You can see him in the Netflix original film with Sandra Bullock, The Unforgivable.

Other recent projects include King Richard, The Many Saints of Newark, Small Engine Repair and Those Who Wish Me Dead.  

He will star in the HBO drama series We Own This City, scheduled for release sometime in 2022.

Next, he will portray Julian Kaye in Showtime’s new American Gigolo series. The series will take place 15 years after the original film where Richard Gere played the role of Kaye. This series will also star Gretchen Mol, Rosie O’Donnell, Lizzie Brocheré, Gabriel LaBelle and Leland Orser.

He will also star in an action film titled Snow Ponies with Even Peters, Josh Gad and Charlie Plummer.

There are also rumors of Bernthal reprising his role as Brax in an Accountant sequel.

Michael Rooker

Rooker has kept himself busy with some great projects, including Brightburn, Love and Monsters, Fantasy Island and The Suicide Squad.

He joined the MCU with his portrayal of Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy. Yondu had a role in one of the What if… animated episodes that explored the scenario of what if T’Challa, King of Wakanda, was abducted by the Ravagers instead of Peter Quill.

We saw him in an episode of Greg Nicotero’s Creepshow, “Drug Traffic/Dead Girl Named Sue.” He voiced Lutador, a villainous Burmese python, in Netflix animated film Vivo. 

He will star in the Netflix comedy The Out-Laws, which wrapped filming in December. This film also stars Adam DeVine, Pierce Brosnan, Lily McDermott. Nina Dobrev, Ellen Barkin, Richard Kind, Julie Hagerty, Lil Rel Howery, Poorna Jagannathan, and Blake Anderson.

Rooker will star with Bruce Willis in the action thriller Corrective Measures and another action film, White Elephant. 

He will star with Yellowstone actor Cole Hauser in Yolo County O.G. and two other films, The President is Missing and A Good Man is Hard to Find.
