Walking Dead alum’s Robert Patrick and Elizabeth Ludlow in Peacemaker
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead actors Robert Patrick and Elizabeth Ludlow star in the HBO Max series Peacemaker, created by James Gunn.
This series continues the story Gunn started in The Suicide Squad film, where John Cena portrays the character Peacemaker. Gunn wrote all eight episodes of the series while finishing The Suicide Squad and before HBO Max had ordered the series.
Peacemaker believes in achieving peace at any cost, no matter how many lives are lost in the process. Gunn has described the character as a “superhero/supervillain/and world’s biggest douchebag.”
The series also stars Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee.
Peacemaker starring Walking Dead actors
Robert Patrick portrays Peacemakers racist father, August “Auggie” Smith / White Dragon, who makes sure his son has the technology needed to complete his mission.
Patrick joined The Walking Dead universe in season 10c. He starred in the bonus episode titled “One More.” This was when Aaron and Gabriel met a mysterious mad man named Mays. He forced the duo to play Russian Roulette to prove the world is devoid of good people. It was a fantastic episode, and Patrick portrayed Mays and his brother in the episode.
Elizabeth Ludlow portrays Keeya, the wife of the newest member of the black ops squad “Project Butterfly,” Leota Adebayo (Brooks). Adebayo has a different political view of the world than Peacemaker.
Ludlow portrayed one of Negan’s Saviors named Arat. She was fierce and loyal to her leader, which resulted in him placing much trust in her. Arat was introduced in season seven and was killed in season nine.
Arat was one of the Saviors who brutally murdered many residents of Oceanside during the failed rebellion against the Saviors. She sadistically murdered Cyndie’s brother, for which Cyndie then murdered Arat for revenge.
