The Walking Dead season 11: Will we see the CRM?

The Civic Republic Military has become front and center in The Walking Dead universe. The spin-off series The Walking Dead World Beyond was centered around this organization and revealed more information about it. The CRM has also been seen in Fear the Walking Dead, mainly in Althea’s story. Will this group be featured in the final season of The Walking Dead?

The CRM is an advanced military operation that serves the Civic Republic. Although the exact location of the central CR community is unknown, scenes from the final episode of World Beyond indicate it could be in Philadelphia. The CRM uses its fleet of helicopters to trade supplies for people they use for experimentation or forced into their military.

Jadis, first introduced in The Walking Dead series, had been trading with the CRM for years. This is how she kept her Heapster community supplied. She eventually crossed over to World Beyond, and it seems the military is a perfect fit for this character. It appears that Jadis and the CRM will also be a big part of The Walking Dead movies.

Will the CRM appear in The Walking Dead’s final season?

The final season of the flagship series is expected to lead into the films. If this is accurate, it is most likely that the CRM will be featured at some point in that season.

Showrunner Angela Kang told Entertainment Weekly an exciting fact about the final season.

"I don’t want to spoil it ’cause it would definitely be spoiler-y, but there will be another group that surprises our people. And we are going to get to know the Commonwealth more deeply with our characters. And there are particular ways that that plays out, and there are a number of characters we will meet for the first time. And for some, it’s learning more about what’s the deal with them and how they interact with our people as they try to figure out a brand-new world as well."

Viewers have been introduced to the Commonwealth, a community that is 50,000 strong; it is hard to believe they don’t know about the CR with 200,000 residents. The Commonwealth is located in Charleston, West Virginia, in the series, which is almost 500 miles from Philadelphia. With all of the helicopters flying around, the two communities are likely aware of one another.

Since the two other series have both featured the CRM, likely, The Walking Dead will also feature more on this group in its final season.
