The Walking Dead series is in its final season, and so far, things have started with lots of action and multiple storylines. Part one of season 11 aired its last episode in October and left viewers with many cliffhangers.

In the first part of the season, we saw the Reapers, a vigilante group teased since season 10c, become a significant storyline in two avenues. One, they are the group who killed the people at Maggie’s most recent community, and two, Daryl gets a blast from the past when his old flame Leah turns out to be on their members. Maggie set a plan into motion to attack the Reapers at Meridian, the last place she lived, as she knew there was food and supplies the Alexandria desperately needed.

Daryl was captured and tortured by the group that eventually joined them to be on the inside when Maggie and the crew would arrive. This story was left off as Leah ordered to unleash the hwacha on Maggie, Daryl, Negan, Gabriel and Elijah.

If you have been unable to watch season 11 of The Walking Dead or want to rewatch ahead of the premiere of part two in February, AMC+ has all eight episodes of part one available to stream. If this isn’t an option due to location etc., according to Tom’s Guide, you can also see it on the following streaming services:  Sling TV, Fubo TV, YouTube TV and AT&T TV Now.

Another storyline is the dire need for food and supplies for the ever-growing community of Alexandria. This community was severely damaged during the war with the Whisperers. Due to the destruction of Hilltop, it has seen a surge in its population, which depleted the supplies much faster than anticipated. This, compounded with the destruction of their gardens, has really taken a toll.

At the end of the most recent episode, a storm has served another blow to Alexandria as walls were destroyed and a fire broke out. A horde of walkers has entered the location, adding to their fight for survival.

The Commonwealth was first introduced in season 10 when Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumkio and their new friend Princess were captured. It has been quite the onboarding process for this group, but they have now been granted entrance to the mysterious community.

Yumiko has reunited with her brother Tomi, a resident of the Commonwealth. Ezekiel has received some sort of treatment for the cancer/growth on his neck. As we learn more about Princess, we see she is observant and notices details others seem to miss, an asset while learning more about the Commonwealth.

Eugene finally meets the girl they are saying is Stephanie, who he contacted on his radio and invited him to come to the Commonwealth. He has already gotten himself into a load of trouble and is now faced with the decision to reveal the location of Alexandria or face the consequences of his actions.

In an interview with EW, showrunner Angela Kang has said that 11B will have a much different tone than 11A.

"I think it’s fair to say there’s an epic start with really big, cool things going on, but also a lot of emotional stuff. So 11B is going to have a pretty different vibe from 11A, which is not unusual for us in a season. We tend to kind of switch up some variables in every block. We’ll start to open up our world a little bit more and meet some more people and see what’s going on for everybody. And there’s going to be a really fun thriller vibe to the B block that we’ve been enjoying writing."
