Ross Marquand has done a fantastic job bringing life Aaron on The Walking Dead series. His introduction to the series was directly from the comics, and since his first introduction, he has gone on to become an impressive survivor and leader.

The trailer for season 11B has been released, and it appears darker times are ahead for Aaron. The trailer initially shows Aaron with a voice-over by Ezekiel, “Darkness is heavy; some of us carry more than others because we are strong enough to hold the weight.”

This is true for many of the characters but most especially Aaron. He has shouldered the weight of Alexandria’s repairs as he is one of the few remaining original residents.

The Walking Dead season 11

In the trailer, we see Aaron in the basement stabbing a walker in the head. This is most likely his rescue of Judith and Gracie. There has been chatter on social media that people think Gracie may be killed, sending Aaron deeper into the darkness. There are no other clips of Gracie after the basement scene, so time will tell.

Aaron is also spotted with Gabriel and many Commonwealth soldiers, possibly outside Alexandria. He is also seen with a gun in the lot that is full of abandoned vehicles, which we also see Daryl and possibly Gabriel in as well.

Aaron’s downward spiral has been long coming, and after meeting Mays in season 10c, things got worse. That experience has no doubt had a negative effect on him. His actions at the Hilltop proved that. Carol tried to intervene as she knows, all too well, how slippery that slope could be. Will her words snap him back, or are his burdens just too much to bear at this time?

There is no doubt this second part of this season will put viewers through the wringer emotionally. This is the final season, and no one is safe.
