It’s Callan McAuliffe birthday and we still don’t know Alden’s fate

Happy Birthday to The Walking Dead’s Callan McAuliffe, who plays the Savoir turned Hilltop resident Alden. McAuliffe was made a season regular in season nine, and Alden has proved his loyalty to the communities and especially to Maggie.

In season 11, Alden volunteered to assist Maggie and her Wardens on their mission to attack the Reapers at their former home, Meridian. Along this journey, many lives were lost at the hands of the Reapers, and Alden was badly wounded. He was left by Maggie and Negan in an old church. We can all guess his fate unless someone found him and had mercy on him.

But, will the writers give us his final story, or will he be like many others whose fate is never known?

The Walking Dead season 11 – Alden – Callan McAuliffe

Although Alden wasn’t a major character, he turned from the Saviors’ evil ways to become a better person. He tried very hard to do what he knew was right and help the communities to prosper. He even took on the care of baby Adam when Earl died.

He deserves a story.

When Maggie and Negan left Alden with a small amount of food viewers, felt his fate was sealed. It is yet to be seen if he will be mentioned again or added to the list of characters that we will never know their fates.

Next, McAuliffe can be seen in a new film, Him & Her with Cristina Spruell. The story is set in 1989 when two strangers, a girl in Detroit and a guy in Chicago, cross phone lines and begin a conversation that will ultimately change their lives forever.
