The Walking Dead series has been airing since 2010, and during that time, many characters have come and gone. Many of these characters didn’t last that long in the series, which requires a refresher of who these characters were. One of these is the character portrayed by actress Alicia Witt.

Witt’s first role was in the 1984 film, Dune which was based on the 1965 novel by Frank Herbert. The film was a box office bomb but has since developed a cult following. David Lynch is credited with discovering her and casting her in Dune and Twin Peaks.

She is also known for her roles in Mr. Holland’s Opus, Cybill, Urgan Legend, Ally McBeal, Two Weeks Notice, Vanilla Sky, Last Holiday, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Friday Night Lights (series), The Mentalist, Justified, Orange is the New Black and many more.

Next, Witt will star in Fuzzy Head, a female-driven indie thriller with Rain Phoenix, Numa Perrier, and Wendy McColm, who also wrote the story.

Alicia Witt portrayed Paula, a member of the Saviors, in two episodes of the sixth season. She was a high-ranking member of Negan’s group who was extremely loyal. This was evident when Carol asked her about Negan, who she and the other had yet to meet; Paula replied, “We’re all Negan.”

At the end of “Not Tomorrow Yet,” Paula captures Carol and Maggie at the Satelite post where Rick and the group slaughter the Savior’s in their sleep. Outside of the compound, Paula radios Rick and tells him, “We’ve got a Carol and a Maggie. We’re thinking that’s something you want to chat about.”  In the next episode, “The Same Boat,” Paula and her fellow Saviors have Maggie and Carol captive. And, anyone who knows this duo can imagine this is a bad plan.

The remaining Saviors at the Satalite post and their reinforcements are all killed, including Paula. Some are killed by walkers, others by Carol and Maggie.
