Negan’s story starts with his introduction to the series as he strolls out of the RV and asks, “Pissin’ our pants yet?”

Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan narrates this episode, and he starts by explaining that the post-apocalyptic world is full of heroes and villains, with those lines being blurred. Morgan says something similar to what this writer has also said, if we met Negan first, see his story play out from the death of his wife and the suffering he experienced, to who he became because of that, would he be our hero?

The Walking Dead Origins – Negan’s story

This episode shows clips from “Here’s Negan,” the episode that serves as Negan’s origin story. This story shows us the human side of this character, a side that was rarely seen in the series until this point. As far as being a husband, he wasn’t the greatest, but he did love her.

Morgan does a fantastic job walking viewers through the days with Lucille after her cancer diagnosis. He steps up to be the husband he should have always been as he cares for her and risks his life to find the much-needed medicine.

We even see the moment he fell in love with what would become his favorite weapon, Lucille. Negan is one of the characters that divides the fandom. People love him or hate him, which shows the talent Morgan possesses.

This series revisits Negan’s lineup and makes the viewer relive those moments when Abe and Glenn are killed. We also see many other moments that make many fans hate this character.

The Walking Dead season 11 – Negan

The final season began with a strong focus on the tension between Maggie and Negan. When Maggie returns to Alexandria, she finds out that Negan had been let out of prison. This doesn’t sit well with her as she feels he still needs to pay for the brutal killing of her husband, Glenn.

The other community members have watched him attempt to redeem himself and know that he was instrumental in the fall of the Whisperers as he is the one who killed Alpha.  He’s saved Judith and tried to be a productive member of Alexandria.

In season 11A, Negan and Maggie come to a truce to take down the Reapers and obtain the much-needed food at Meridian. The official trailer for season 11B shows that this tension will rear its head. Will this end with one of these characters killing the other? Only time will tell.
