One of the hot topics in The Walking Dead fandom is always the return of fan-favorite characters. Especially key survivors like Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira). It is common knowledge that viewers will see the return of Rick Grimes in the promised movies. When these movies will finally be ready is unknown, but Rick will be essential in these films. But, what about Michonne?

In season 10, we saw Michonne discover that the love of her life and father of her children, Rick Grimes, didn’t die in the bridge explosion. This shocking revelation was almost too much to comprehend. After being encouraged by her daughter Judith (Cailey Fleming), she decided to follow the clues and look for him.

Being separated from her parents has been especially tough on Judith, but little RJ has to feel her absence as well.

The Walking Dead Michonne’s return?

Since this is the final season, fans feel that Rick and Michonne need to reappear before the end. It is most likely that Michonne would also appear in the movies, and this reunion of the Grimes family may occur only in the movies.

Perhaps Judith will somehow be contacted by Michonne with some good news that she will share with everyone. As of the current timeline, Judith, Michonne, Jadis and Virgil are the only ones who know that Rick survived. Judith has yet to tell others like Daryl, Carol and others who are dear to her that Rick survived, fearing they too will go off in search of him.

Fans would all love to see Michonne return to the series before the end, but actress Danai Guriria is a very busy woman, and this might be tough to fit into her schedule.
