In season four, Aldis Hodge played a small role in The Walking Dead series as Mike, Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) boyfriend and father of her son Andre. The teaser trailer for Black Adam gives a glimpse of Hodge in his new role as Hawkman.
Black Adam is an upcoming superhero film based on DC Comic characters that is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) and written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Black Adam is a spinoff of Shazam that will focuson the title character anti-hero. The film will see a theatrical only release in July 2022.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will portray the titular character with Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate and Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher. You can see all of these characters and Hawkman in the sizzle reel below.
The Walking Dead – Aldis Hodge
Aldis Hodge portrayed Michonne’s boyfriend Mike in the season 4 episode “After.” This was in a dream sequence that Michonne had after the fall of the prison. The dream was set before the outbreak and she was preparing food for Mike and his friend Terry (Brandon Fobbs). Things seemed ok until gradually things changed until we saw Mike and Terry with the arms cut off, like they had when they were Michonne’s pets. The walker versions of her pets were played by the late Moses Moseley and Theshay West.
Other roles Hodge is known for include Leverage: Redpemption, The Birthday Cake, City on a Hill, One Night in Miami…, The Invisible Man, Underground, Hidden Figures, and more.
Next he will star in the untitled Parallel Forest Remake Project with his brother Edwin Hodge. The pair wrote the script with Jonathan Keasey and will portray brothers in the film. Directed by Kourosh Ahari (The Night), Parallel Forest is a sci-fi thriller that follows a grief stricken woman who navagaties between parallel spaces.
He will also star in Mike Mignola’s The Forever House an anthology series inspired by international folklore.
