The end is nigh. We have all known for quite some time that The Walking Dead series will be ending in 2022. But, to see the final scripts have been delivered to the cast crew is a jolt to the heart of fans.

On August 22, 2021, the final season premiere episode of The Walking Dead aired on AMC. It was a bittersweet moment for fans of the series, but with a 24 episode series in front of us, it seemed like it would go on forever. But, now, the final episode of the final season is being filmed.

Stunt man and horse trainer for the series, Tommie Turvey, took to social media to share his copy of the final script with the words “End of series.” He went on to say that this usually reads “End of episode.”

Since the publishing of this article, Turvey’s post has been removed.

Corey Reed clarified: Not the script. I only wish because i just took a break from writing part of the finale script to scroll the twitter. (It’s the final story outline. Script coming soon!)

The Walking Dead final season

AMC+ subscribers can view the first episode of season 11B, with the AMC premiere coming February 20. The second part of the season will be very Commonwealth-centric, and things should be very interesting.

I have viewed 1109 and will not spoil anything, but I will say this episode was incredible. Many characters have shone in this episode, and I can’t wait to live tweet on Sunday evening!

Other cast and crew members have shared their sentiments regarding the final episodes.

Norman Reedus shared his script folder, covered with a random sampling of stickers he has added over the years. He also shared a fantastic photo of the back of Daryl, showing off the wing on his vest, followed by a throwback photo from season one.

Director of Photography, Duane Charles Manwiller, has been giving fans a real treat with photos of the final season and some from previous seasons as well.

It is sad to see it end, but there are still 16 episodes left to air on AMC, and it will be exciting to see where this story leads.
