Ritchie Coster is known to The Walking Dead fandom as the religious zealot leader of the Reapers named Pope. But, Coster has been acting since the late 90s with many credits to his name. He will now star in the new A24 film, After Yang.

Coster portrayed Pope in season 11 of The Walking Dead and was the leader of the Reapers, the group who terrorized Maggie and her former community Meridian. We learned much about this group during the short time they appeared on the series, and Pope believed that God ordained this group. Ordained or not, they didn’t last long, even though they started as a formidable group.

Pope was betrayed by Leah, one of his fellow Reapers, who then blamed Daryl for his death. He appeared in four episodes of the final season and did an excellent job portraying this character.
