AMC has announced that Shudder’s Creepshow will be a part of AMC’s new book publishing launch. AMC Networks Publishing will release four fan-focused original titles, including Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream (working title) coffee table book.

Creepshow is based on the anthology movie of the same name from Stephen King and George A. Romero, released in 1982. The series was recently renewed for season 4, and fans are anxious to see what’s next.

This series features many Walking Dead actors, including Josh McDermitt, Michael Rooker, Ethan Embry, King Bach, C. Thomas Howell, and Cailey Fleming.

The series remains true to its roots giving a great 80s nostalgic feel with the hokey but momentarily believable special effects. The series features several directors, including  David Bruckner, Roxanne Benjamin, Rob Schrab, John Harrison, Greg Nicotero, and Tom Savini, with Harrison, Nicotero, and Savini having worked on the first two Creepshow films.

Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream will be the first release for AMC’s new publishing company. The book is written by Dennis Prince, designed by John J. Hill, and co-produced by Julia Hobgood.

This book will go behind the scenes of Greg Nicotero’s anthology series Creepshow. Fans will get a look into the origins, development, production, special fx, and more of this hit horror series.

"“I grew up wearing down my fingertips paging through books on the making of my favorite movies,” said Nicotero. “I was ravenous to learn the behind-the-scenes secrets. So, I’m excited to be able to present a glimpse behind the making of this epic show!”"

Additionally, AMC Network Publishing will also release two new comic series, one from Metallica’s lead guitarist and horror aficionado Kirk Hammett titled Nights of Lono and Oubliette from NY Times best-selling author  Brenden Fletcher. A new graphic novel, Miss Fisher’s First Mysteries (working title), based on the Acorn TV series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, will be written by NY Times best-selling author Cecil Castelluci.
