Fear the Walking Dead’s Alycia Debnam-Carey featured in Marie Claire
By Renee Hansen
Fear the Walking Dead’s Alycia Debnam-Carey has portrayed Alicia Clark since the beginning of the series. As the series readys for the midseason premiere of season 7, Debnam-Carey did an interview and photoshoot for Marie Claire Australia.
Debnam-Carey looks gorgeous, as always, in the new photoshoot. You can see from the photos that growing up as a child actor has aided her in being very comfortable in front of the camera. Her first role was in Rachel Ward’s short film Martha’s New Coat when she was eight.
Next, she will star in an adaptation of Australian author Holly Ringland’s book The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart for Amazon. She will star opposite Sigourney Weaver in this series filmed in rural New South Wales.
Fear the Walking Dead – Alycia Debnam-Carey
In season 7 of Fear TWD, Debnam-Carey stepped behind the camera to direct her first episode. Viewers will see this episode in the second half of the season.
During the midseason finale, Alicia declared war on Strand (Colman Domingo) while battling an illness she believes is the virus that will ultimately turn her into one of the undead. She was bitten earlier in the season but cut off her arm to avoid the spread. Since that time, she has suffered fevers which is generally a sign of the changeover.
The second half of season 7 will hold a surprise for Alicia when her mother, Madison (Kim Dickens), reappears. She was assumed dead after a brave move in season 4 when she sacrificed herself to allow the other residents of the Dell Diamond to escape. It will be exciting to learn where she has been during this time and how she survived.
This will also put Madison in the middle of the war between her daughter and one of her dear friends.
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC on April 17, with episodes airing one week early on AMC+.
