The Walking Dead, New Haunts: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
The Walking Dead “New Haunts”
1) This week’s “Previously on The Walking Dead” is voiced by Khary Peyton. Viewers looked back at Ezekiel’s breathing trouble while he and Eugene’s team were clearing houses for the Commonwealth and Princess telling Ezekiel that he needs to see a doctor. We saw Tomichi being scooped up by Commonwealth soldiers, Commonwealth soldiers arriving at Alexandria (Before Eugene arrives to stop a confrontation), and Lance Hornsby offering to take Alexandrians to the Commonwealth.
2) This episode begins with Daryl taking Judith and R.J. through a haunted maze during the Commonwealth’s Halloween celebrations. This display includes actors portraying walkers, which is odd, considering they live in a zombie apocalypse. Rather than be a pretend scenario to scare people, the actors portray a real thing that happens. Perhaps that makes it all the scarier?
3) After the title sequence, we’re informed that this episode begins at “DAY 30 IN THE COMMONWEALTH”, placing this at least a month (Probably closer to a month and a half, if you account for travel time) since the end of the previous episode.
4) When meeting Mei, Judith introduces herself as “Jude.” I’m not entirely sure, but I think this is the first time she’s ever had that nickname.
