The Walking Dead season 11 part 3 release date update
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead season 11 is the final for the series released in three parts. Part one aired in 2021, with parts two and three in 2022. AMC is currently airing the episodes for part two that will be completed on April 10 with episode 16.
Part 1, or season 11A, placed a heavy focus on the mission to Meridian and the Reaper war, which was finally concluded in season 11B. We also see much more of the Commonwealth, and part 2 or season 11B has, so far, been mainly focused on this new community with many Alexandria residents being relocated there.
So far, we’ve seen Leah escape as the lone survivor of the Reapers. Negan has exiled himself, fearing Maggie will renege on their truce and kill him, as she did with the Reapers and all of the Alexandrians who have relocated to the Commonwealth are situation in new jobs. We’ve also seen multiple time jumps in part 2 plus a six-month time jump sneak peek.
The Walking Dead season 11 part 3
So far, we haven’t received a release day for the third and final segment of episodes for the final season of The Walking Dead. Last year we received the news of season 11’s premiere in April, so perhaps we will get this announcement with the final episode of part 2. Filming for the last episode of the series started this week, making it is very likely we will receive a part 3 premiere date soon. It would be very cool to time it so that the final episode airs on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, as the pilot episode aired on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010.
Negan has only appeared in one episode for part 2, but we will see him again, for sure, especially since it has been announced that he and Maggie will have a spin-off series. But, we have also seen him in the teasers with someone new.
Things are getting very exciting as we learn more about the Commonwealth and that the outward appearance is covering up some shady goings-on.
AMC will premiere the next episode of The Walking Dead, “The Lucky Ones,” on Sunday, March 13 at 9 p.m. ET. This episode is currently available to AMC+ subscribers.
