The Walking Dead is currently filming the final episode of the series. This is bittersweet news for fans to think that the end is finally upon us. It was announced some time ago, but it is a sobering thought to get to this point and realize how close the end actually is.

The final season of the series is a jumbo-sized season consisting of 24 episodes, released in three parts. Part one aired in 2021, and AMC is currently airing new episodes of part two. The third part of the season has yet to have a release date, but it should be announced soon.

The fandom will continue with Fear the Walking Dead and several spin-offs coming soon. Tales of the Walking Dead will air in the summer of 2022 with Isle of the Dead, featuring Maggie and Negan and a Carol and Daryl spin-off scheduled for 2023.

The Walking Dead new episode

AMC will air a new episode tonight, March 13, at 9 p.m ET titled “The Lucky Ones.”

This episode will see Governor Pamela Milton during a visit to Alexandria, Oceanside and Hilltop. She doesn’t seem as convinced that Alexandria is the best use of their resources as Hornsby does. It will be great to check in with all of the communities we haven’t seen in a while.

Ezekiel will get some great news at a routine check-up while Eugene still tries to process the new information about Stephine.
