5) On their way to meet Moto, Hornsby informs Carol that the Commonwealth uses the opium Moto produces for the hospital (Presumably to make morphine). This is the first time we’ve seen a practical use for narcotics in The Walking Dead (Though not within the larger Walking Dead universe, as we saw it used for similar purposes in season two of Fear TWD).

6) While talking with Kelly, Connie makes known her dislike of the “militarization” of the police within the Commonwealth. I’m afraid the boats sailed on those concerns, considering that, by all appearances, the Commonwealth’s police force has not only long ago been militarized, but their police and military may have always been one and the same.

7) After Connie and Kelly’s discussion about the police, we see Mercer drive an armored truck. Where did he get the fuel for that beast? I ask because, as we learned in Fear TWD a few seasons ago, most fuel has become useless unless people find fresh oil to refine into more.

8) This episode gets its name from Eugene’s name for the nefarious group within the Commonwealth, which he believes is responsible for Stephanie’s disappearance: The “Rogue Element.”
