The Walking Dead is no stranger to evil characters. Throughout the 11 seasons, our survivors have encountered many villains, most of which they have eliminated. In the final season, the villain may turn out to be the Commonwealth, but among the higher-ups in that community, Lance Hornsby, played by Josh Hamilton, seems to be one character who may only be looking out for #1.
Hornsby has this “crooked used car salesman” way about him, where he delivers everything with a smile, but you are uncertain just how trustworthy he is. He seems to want to be everyone’s friend but at what cost.
During an interview with AMC, actor Josh Hamilton discussed Lance and some background on the character. Many have thought that perhaps Lance and Pamela are related, but in this interview, Hamilton sheds light on the fact that his father was President Milton’s chauffeur. This is why Pamela always seems to look down on him and where Lance has gotten his ambitious ways. He used his powerful connections to work his way up in the Commonwealth.
In the most recent episode, “The Lucky Ones,” Maggie turns down Lance’s offer to aid Hilltop. Where Aaron has embraced the help from the community, will one of them regret their decision?
The Walking Dead Josh Hamilton
Hamilton began his acting career in the late 70s at the age of eight. He starred in a film titled A Good Dissonance Like a Man, which also starred his mother, Sandra Kingsbury.
He would star in the TV movie The Wilder Summer and some ABC After School specials and CBS School Break Specials.
Other roles he is known for include With Honors, Ice Age, Third Watch, The Bourne Identity, The F Word, The Investigators, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Good Wife, Dark Skies, American Horror Story, Gracepoint, Madam Secretary, Ray Donavan and13 Reasons Why.
Next, he will star in Tonight at Noon, a drama starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lauren Ambrose, Rutger Hauer and Ethan Hawke. He will also star in a sci-fi film, Landscape with Invisible Hand with Tiffany Haddish, Asante Blackk, Kylie Rogers, Clifton Collins Jr. and Michael Gandolfini.
As the final season of The Walking Dead continues, it will be interesting to see where Lance’s story goes. Will he make a misstep, and his actions reveal his true colors?
