The Walking Dead films the final episode
Greg Nicotero has served as Special Effects Creator and Director for the series and as an actor when he would portray walkers in the series. It has been reported that Andrea, played by Lauren Holden, killed him three times during her time on the series.
On the last day of filming, he posted a video (below) with Norman Reedus, the actor who plays fan favorite, Daryl Dixon, on the series. You can tell the atmosphere is bittersweet as filming wraps for a series that has consumed so much of their lives.
In the video, Nicotero comments that he remembers when they started the series when they were babies and had short hair. Reedus commented that his brain is short-circuiting and that when he is finished, he will be in the bathroom on the floor with a martini in tears.
Nicotero and Reedus own the trio of Nic and Norman’s restaurants located in Senoia, Georgia, Chattanooga, Tennesse, and the upcoming Lexington, Kentucky location. If you have never tried out these restaurants, be sure to make a point to do so. They have a fantastic atmosphere and delicious food!
