The Walking Dead, Trust: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
The Walking Dead season 11
1) This week’s “Previously on The Walking Dead” is voiced by Norman Reedus. Daryl and Rosita have to rob Cooper’s house for Sebastian and explain why to Mercer. Mercer kills Alves and Castle, and Carol explains to Lance Hornsby that Sebastian had been using desperate people to loot Cooper’s house for money. Aaron shoots Toby Carlson off the roof of the Riverbend apartment complex, Father Gabriel, Maggie, and Aaron realize that Hornsby will send more troops to Riverbend when Toby doesn’t return, and Gabriel wonders who stole Hornsby’s weapons shipment in the first place if not Ian, and the revelation that Leah attacked and stole the weapons shipment.
2) As we see Daryl at the “crime scene” that is Riverbend at the start of the episode, we also see several Commonwealth soldiers exiting an SUV. Once again, I must ask: Where are they getting the gas?
3) During her conversation with Eugene about Sebastian’s heist mission for Daryl and Rosita, Max reveals Mercer’s first name: Michael.
4) When Lance Hornsby spots Maggie’s truck, she reveals that she’s converting the engine, presumably to ethanol, which would explain the cars we’ve seen driving around this season if we saw a single ear of corn around, which we haven’t. In fact, with the Virginia communities so depleted after the Whisperer War (And Hilltop, specifically, being largely destroyed), where would they even get the corn to use for fuel? They’re obviously not getting it from the Commonwealth since Maggie didn’t sign any treaty.
