Fans of The Walking Dead have a few months to wait until the final eight episodes of the series airs. In the meantime, we will all watch and rewatch every little clip released to analyze what we think will happen next. This information is vital as this is the end of a series we have dedicated 12 years of our lives to.

The final midseason finale of the series recently aired and ended with the Commonwealth taking over the communities of Alexandria, Hilltop, and Oceanside communities. The final scene shows Lance Hornsby flipping a coin to decide the fate of the residents at Oceanside, who have been quietly staying out of the whole mess.

Hornsby is undoubtedly gunning for Maggie, Daryl, Gabriel and Aaron, as they have all gotten on his bad side in the past few episodes. He is a man who doesn’t like to be crossed and has the manpower to take out anyone who crosses him.

The exact date that The Walking Dead will return has yet to be announced, but it most likely is in October. This is the month that is generally set as TWD premiere month. There is also a huge live fan event scheduled for the final episode that will take place in November, which requires an October premiere date.
