The Walking Dead season 11 midseason finale

Don’t underestimate the little things.

Surviving a zombie apocalypse can rely on many things — How fast you are, how strong you are, how smart you are, how well-armed you are, etc. — but what’s often overlooked is how important the little things are.

For example, if you run into someone who’s lurching around awkwardly or whose skin looks discolored, and you notice these details that many others might overlook, that might mean the difference between being at the epicenter of a zombie attack or hearing about it later on the news from the safety of your house.

Little details like this can wind up saving your life in the apocalypse if you’re keen to spot them. Things like an oddity in how something looks, acts, moves, and smells, can tip you off that something or someone is not right and you should get away as soon as possible.

Regardless of where you are, whether there’s zombies or not, always keep your eyes, ears, and nose open so that you can either catch it or avoid it if something terrible comes around.

Sometimes, all it takes is overlooking something small to get yourself into serious trouble.
