The Walking Dead featured at Museum of the Moving Image in June 2022
By Renee Hansen
AMC and the Museum of the Moving Image are partnering to bring an amazing Walking Dead exhibition titled Living with the Walking Dead. This exhibition is scheduled from June 25, 2022, to January 1, 2023, with ticket sales to the general public beginning May 9.
This exhibition will feature a deep dive into The Walking Dead world, including the wildly popular series and the comics created by Robert Kirkman. As one of the world’s most-watched shows in cable TV history, The Walking Dead is worthy of an exhibition highlighting the origins, production, fandom, and impact this series has had on pop culture. A variety of screenings and public events will also be scheduled with this series.
The exhibit will include production materials like original costumes, props, concept art, storyboards, scripts, and a huge array of prosthetic makeup used to transform the cast into the walkers fans have enjoyed for twelve years.
The Museum of the Moving Image shared news of the exhibit on social media.
The Walking Dead – final season
The Walking Dead recently wrapped filming on its final episode of the series. This was a sobering moment for the fandom, cast, and crew as it was a significant milestone signaling the end. AMC recently aired the final midseason finale of the series, another marker in the countdown towards the final episode.
The series will return in the fall of 2022 with the final eight episodes of the series. AMC announced that the final episode would be highlighted by a live fan event that is to be held in Los Angeles in November.
The fandom will continue with several spinoff series, which will undoubtedly be great shows, but none will ever give the feel of viewing The Walking Dead for the very first time.
