Walking Dead alum Pollyanna McIntosh stars in Irish horror thriller
By Renee Hansen
Pollyanna McIntosh is known in The Walking Dead universe for portraying Anne/Jadis Stokes. She is one of several characters who have been seen in more than one of TWDU series. Deadline reports that she has been cast in a new Irish horror-thriller Double Blind produced by Epic Pictures Group.
McIntosh began her run in TWDU on The Walking Dead in season 7 as the leader of a group called the Scavengers who made their home at a junkyard. Here they created weapons from junk and lived by the motto “We take, we don’t bother.” It would later be discovered that Jadis was trading people to the Civic Republic for resources and would eventually save the life of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) by using him as a bargaining chip to ensure entrance into the CR.
The next time viewers would see Jadis is in the limited spinoff series The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Her trade with this community allowed her to enter their ranks and work her way up to becoming Warrant Officer Jadis Stokes. It has been rumored that Jadis will appear in The Walking Dead movies if these ever get created.
Pollyanna McIntosh – Double Blind
If you follow Pollyanna McIntosh on social media, you know she has been quite busy. She is currently starring in Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla as Queen Ælfgifu. She recently posted that she has completed filming on an Irish comedy and headed to Limerick to start back to work on a thriller.
This thriller is most likely the newly announced project, Double Blind, a horror-thriller written by Darach McGarrigle and is the directorial debut of Ian Hunt-Duffy. Hunt-Duffy runs Failsafe Films, a Dublin-based production company with producer Simon Doyle.
McIntosh will lead the cast with Millie Brady (The Queen’s Gambit). The movie also stars Brenock O’Connor, Abby Fitz, Shonagh Marie, Diarmuid Noyes, Frank Blake, and Akshay Kumar.
The movie follows seven strangers who are part of a paid drug trial. They are then trapped inside the lab when the side effects of the drug escalate, and the participants must stay awake, or they will die.
