Fear the Walking Dead season 7 episode 9

Fear The Walking Dead has returned, and it showed us a little more of what’s been going on with Alicia Clark since Teddy Maddox and his minions launched a nuclear missile on Texas.

We’ve learned that, following the bomb, Alicia had sent many of her new “followers” to search for the walker of Senator Vasquez, under the mistaken belief that it could lead her to PADRE. If the confrontations between Alicia and Arno are anything to go by, a lot of them died trying.

Not surprisingly, this has caused Alicia to lose faith in herself. While we saw Alicia overcome this problem, it was a problem nonetheless, and one that I’ve decided to tackle for this week’s Fear The Walking Dead Survival Rule Of The Week. Having trust and faith in oneself is crucial to surviving a zombie apocalypse. I think this transitions nicely from where I had been going over the last few weeks with my The Walking Dead survival rules.

While I will tackle the necessity of trusting yourself in the apocalypse, I feel like I’d be remiss if I didn’t also tackle the problems that got Alicia into so much trouble in the first place. Being overconfident in one’s abilities can be just as dangerous as not believing in them.
