Fear the Walking Dead – Follow Me

1) This week’s “Previously” focuses on Alicia asking Morgan to help her find PADRE and Arno welcoming Alicia as the one who’ll lead us to our new beginning.” We also see Alicia being bitten by Senator Vasquez’s walker, Alicia telling Morgan that she didn’t amputate her hand in time and is still infected with the zombie virus, and Alicia declaring war on Strand, all from the midseason finale, “PADRE.”

2) This episode gets its name from the words Alicia hears from Senator Vasquez in her dream: Follow Me. It also stems from the crux of this episode being about Alicia learning to have confidence in her ability to lead people, but, as far as quotes go, the dream is the source.

3) Alicia’s dream is the first she has seen or heard a walker talk to her. This is something we saw her brother, Nick, go through during his journey in the Mexican desert in season two’s “Grotesque.” Nick hallucinated that a herd he was walking with (Including a hallucinated walker of his late girlfriend, Gloria) was talking to him.

4) This episode’s title sequence features silhouettes of Alicia, with her followers behind her, in front of a hazy yellow background, with the sun behind them as the title card burns and a new theme plays.
