Fear the Walking Dead: Frank Dillane stars in Apple TV+ series

Frank Dillane is known for his role as Nick Clark on Fear the Walking Dead. Nick was a fan-favorite character who had a troubled past that seemed always to choose the wrong path but was very intelligent and loyal to his family. Now, Dillane stars in a new series, The Essex Serpent, that will air on Apple TV+.

The series is based on a novel by Sarah Perry, written by Anna Symon, and directed by two-time BAFTA nominee Clio Barnard. The Essex Serpent is set in Victorian England and follows a widow, Cora Seaborne, newly moved to Essex. She is there to investigate rumors of a mythical creature known as the Essex Serpent and befriends the local vicar, Will Ransome. The villagers blame her for attracting the beast when tragedy strikes the community of Aldwinter.

Dillane stars in the series with Claire Danes, Tom Hiddleston, Hayley Squires, Clémence Poésy and Jamael Westman.

Dillane is featured in the trailer below and he plays Luke Garrett, a young surgeon, loved by some and hated by others. The series premieres two episodes on May 13, with new episodes released weekly through June 10.

Frank Dillane – Fear the Walking Dead

Dillane’s character Nick, an original cast member, was killed off in season 4, and he admitted he was very proud of the series, especially the first season. Fans were sad to see Dillane leave the series, but he missed his homeland and was ready to move on and try new things and new roles.

Next, he will star in an adaptation of John Webster’s Jacobean play, The Duchess of Malfi, a revenge thriller where a Duchess falls for her steward—also starring Dominic Cooper, Sam Riley, Morfydd Clark and Freddie Fox.
