The Walking Dead actress Alexandra Breckenridge in This Is Us

Alexandra Breckenridge is known for her role as Jessie on The Walking Dead. She was an Alexandria resident during seasons 4 and 5. Breckenridge has starred in many memorable roles, including two wildly popular series, Netflix’s Virgin River and NBC’s This Is Us.

If you are a fan of This Is Us, you know that this series is airing its sixth and final season. Since the beginning, Breckenridge has starred in this series, first in a recurring role during season 1 and then onto a main role in season 2. She has been in a guest role for the remaining seasons due to her lead role in Virgin River. 

Some important events were revealed during the April 26 episode of This Is Us, “The Night Before the Wedding,” some important events were revealed. (we won’t spoil them here) But, if you are a fan of Breckenridge’s Sophia, be sure to check out this episode.

Virgin River has been renewed for seasons 4 and 5, with the fourth season expected to release sometime this summer. Breckenridge plays Mel, a midwife and nurse practitioner who moves to the remote Northern California town of Virgin River to get a fresh start and leave painful memories behind. Netflix currently has all three seasons of this series available to stream.

Alexandra Breckenridge – The Walking Dead

Jessie Anderson was a resident of Alexandria, wife of Pete, and mother of Ron and Sam. Her husband was an abusive man and was eventually killed by Rick Grimes, with who Jessie had a short romantic relationship.

During the season 6 episode “No Way Out,” Jessie, Sam, Ron, Rick, Carl and Michonne are making their way through a horde of walkers who have made their way into Alexandria. Sam panics and is attacked, which leads Jessie to become hysterical, and she is also attacked. She is still holding on to Carl’s hand, requiring Rick to chop off her hand to free Carl, and she is then devoured by the walkers.

If you are going to die in The Walking Dead, that is the way to go. Sadly, this scene leads to Jessie’s son Ron shooting Carl in the eye and being killed by Michonne, taking out the entire Anderson family.

Breckenridge is known for her roles in American Horror Story, Broken Vows, Zuper, Other People’s Children, Save Me, Family Guy and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
