Fear the Walking Dead – Ofelia

Lies have a way of coming out.

It was made obvious by the end of this week’s episode that Luciana’s lie to Daniel would come out sooner or later. Whether because she will give up the ghost or because Wes or Strand will do it for her, either way, it’s going to come out.

This is the problem with lies: Sooner or later, it always comes out. Sometimes, it’s because the liar themselves can’t stand what they’re doing; other times, someone else knows the lie and spills the beans. Still, other times, the liar slips up, or things they hadn’t accounted for make their original lie untenable, and the whole thing collapses around them. Regardless of how it happens, rest assured, it does happen.

In the long run, it’s far better to just be honest, even if you have to give bad news, than to delve into the deep, dark ocean of falsehoods because, once it’s been revealed, you quickly start to drown in it.
