Fear the Walking Dead season 7

What kind of future will lies build for you?

What is Luciana thinking?

She knows that they’re not going to find Ofelia at Strand’s tower, and she knows that Daniel will be devastated by her lies, if not completely enraged. I know that she hopes the idea of Ofelia being in the tower will help Daniel stay focused on Strand, but it doesn’t seem like she’s really thought this plan through very well.

If you decide you’re going to lie to someone in your group, you should really think long and hard about what this will eventually lead to. When your lie gets found out, what are you going to do? What are you going to say? Will anyone believe you? Why should they? If you’ve already proven that you’ll lie to one person in the group, why should they believe that you’d treat the rest of them any different?

Worse still, depending on the nature of the lie, your group may decide that they don’t need you as much as they might have thought before. They may choose to abandon you, because they don’t trust you anymore. That is an optimistic outlook because, quite honestly, depending on the lie, the person you lied to may decide to cut out the middleman and, rather than abandoning you, they might be better served killing you.

Lies have a way of getting found out, and any plans you might have that hinge on one are like a house built on a foundation of sand.
