Fear the Walking Dead season 7 episode 11 Ofelia MVP

The most recent episode of Fear the Walking Dead was titled “Ofelia” and saw a focus on Daniel (Ruben Blades) and the continued deterioration of his mental health. The only times he could focus and remain grounded were when he was speaking in Spanish, his native tongue, or looking for his daughter Ofelia, who has long since died.
Because of his search for Ofelia, Daniel puts his life, and Luciana’s (Danay Garcia) and Wes’ (Colby Hollman) lives in danger. They were caught by Arno (Spense Granese) and his Stalkers and taken back to their base camp. Arno had listened to their radio chatter about a weapons cache and wanted them to reveal the location. The Stalkers and Morgan’s group are both vying for the Tower as this is the only safe place around.
This week’s MVP took action that was a bit immoral but did so almost with Daniel’s blessing when he told her, “I’ve always done what I needed to do.”

Fear the Walking Dead – Luciana
This week, Luciana’s action of lying to Daniel saw Wes go off and end up at Strand’s (Colman Domingo) Tower and surely made fans angry as Daniel is a favorite of many. But, throughout the series, Daniel has done things equivalent because it is what needs to be done.
Daniel told Luciana that the only time he can think clearly is when he is focused on the search for his daughter. She knows that Daniel’s combat skills are desperately needed if they will overtake Strand and gain control of his Tower.
Another thing that makes one think Daniel would approve of her actions is that after Arno died, he told her that she is family now. Daniel believes a person will do anything for family. He said this to Arno when he tried to excuse his actions; Daniel told him, “but they weren’t your family.”
No one wants to see Daniel get hurt, especially Luciana, who takes great care of him by working with him to retain his memory and cognitive skills. She will deal with the consequences of her actions when it comes time. In the meantime, she believes she did what needed to be done.
