The recent release of the Fear the Walking Dead webisode Dead in the Water has seen a resurgence of interest in the other list of webisodes within The Walking Dead world. One that has really piqued interest in Fear the Walking Dead: Passage.

The webisodes were released as promotions for upcoming seasons of Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead. The webisodes would air on AMC as commercial breaks and tell side stories of other characters’ experiences in the apocalypse. Passage was the second webisode to accompany Fear TWD with Flight 462. Many of the webisodes can be found on YouTube.

Dead in the Water is the most recently released that looks at the crew aboard the USS Pennsylvania, the submarine where cult leader Teddy Maddox (John Glover) obtained his nuclear bombs. This series is set on the eve of the outbreak when the sub is cut off from communication with the mainland and has no idea what has happened. This series is currently available on AMC+, but on May 8, it will be available on other outlets.

Fear the Walking Dead: Passage

Passage originally aired in 2016 as a promotion for Fear the Walking Dead’s third season and The Walking Dead’s seventh season.

This story follows three people trying to secure a safe place to stay, but one of them has a secret. It shows the true nature of people and how a catastrophe can alter them for the better or, the worse.

Cast for this series:

  • Kelsey Scott – Sierra
  • Mishel Prada – Gabi
  • Michael Mosely – Colton

Showrunner Dave Erickson had plans to integrate Colton into the season 3 premiere of Fear TWD. Due to scheduling issues, a new character Steven (Ross McCall), was created to take his place and had the same injuries and back story.
