Fear the Walking Dead season 7

7) While arguing with Luciana and Wes about fighting the Stalkers, Daniel mentions his CIA training, which may be the first time he’s mentioned where his expertise came from to anyone still in the group. If not, it’s undoubtedly the first time we’ve seen him mention it to members of the group besides Ofelia.

8) Additionally, after mentioning his CIA training, Daniel tells Wes and Luci that what really scares him is what he’ll have to do to the Stalkers. This hearkens back to his childhood flashbacks in the Salvadorean Civil War and the people he killed during it as an adult, seen as ghosts in the Abigail hacienda in the season two midseason finale “Shiva.”

9) While being held captive, Luciana recognizes a blonde girl from the Holding (from the episode of the same name), which causes her and Wes to realize that the Stalkers are indeed the remnants of Teddy Maddox’s cult. This girl would later be revealed to be Sabrina, whom we met at the very beginning of the aforementioned episode, gathering food for the new recruits to the cult.

10) While trying to talk Daniel out of ratting out Dwight (and, by extension, the rest of the group), Luciana confirms Daniel’s earlier assertions that she is lonely and specifically mentions the loss of Nick. In so doing, suggesting that, whether Daniel intended to be referring to Nick, she took it as such, nonetheless.

11) As Arno prepares to lower Wes into the herd below via the crane, he reveals that Wes’ brother, Derek, recruited him into the cult.

12) Daniel is pretty astute, as he suggests that Arno probably kills everyone he puts in the crane cage, which Arno had only just before told Wes we would have done, regardless of his cooperation just before Sage arrives with Daniel and Luciana.
