Fear the Walking Dead season 7

In this week’s Fear The Walking Dead, Survival Rule Of The Week, we learn that believing in people (Including yourself) is vital in the zombie apocalypse.

This week’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead, “The Raft,” was one that, while dancing on the periphery of the coming war between Morgan’s group and Strand’s tower, focused on Morgan’s group. Specifically, how much they believed in themselves and one another. Alicia’s belief in herself, Morgan’s belief in her, Wes’ belief in the group (despite his cynicism), and Sherry and Dwight’s belief in each other.

All of this together got me thinking about just how important a person’s belief in themselves and their group is to survive a zombie apocalypse. Overconfidence is, obviously, flawed, but a healthy belief in one’s abilities and goals and those of the people around you can work wonders for your attempts to survive. The belief that you can do something is often crucial to the actual execution. In contrast, the lack of confidence in your ability to do something can often ensure your failure, either by undermining your efforts or convincing you not to make the attempt.

So, for this week’s Fear The Walking Dead, Survival Rule Of The Week, we’re going to tackle just how important it is for you to believe in yourself, to believe in your group, believe in people in general in a zombie apocalypse, and what the lack of that belief can do to your efforts to survive.
