Fear the Walking Dead season 7 episode 12 The Raft MVP

Fear the Walking Dead’s most recent episode, “The Raft,” featured Dwight and Sherry, who we haven’t seen much of this half of the season, and Morgan and Alicia as they determine the next steps in the war for the Tower.

At the beginning of the episode, Dwight and Sherry encounter a woman named Maya, who came from a place free from fallout. She was searching for her son and heard Victor’s message about the Tower. During this episode, Morgan, obeying Grace’s wishes for him to keep Mo safe, leaves on a raft in search of a safe place to keep the child. Perhaps this place is PADRE?

The MVP for this week’s episode is someone who, after finding out about a life-altering discovery, takes matters into her own hands to get herself and two others out of harm’s way.

Fear the Walking Dead – Sherry

Christine Evangelista portrays Sherry on Fear the Walking Dead. She is one of three characters who have crossed over from The Walking Dead series. She was formerly one of Negan’s wives, while her husband Dwight was a member of his Saviors. The time she spent at the Sanctuary still haunts her in the present and affects her actions in this episode.

One great thing about this couple’s relationship is that it shows what a real marriage is like. It isn’t all sunshine and roses, and couples don’t always agree on everything. But, they stick together and make the best of things. Perhaps their relationship works so well because they were together before the outbreak.

At the beginning of the episode, Sherry is readying a raft with supplies, making viewers think she will run again. But, it is later revealed this was for Dwight as she fears he will end up at the Tower under Strand’s command and become the man he was under Negan.

Sherry and Dwight have had a long, complicated love story that finally sees them with some happy news. In this episode, they discover Sherry is pregnant. This may seem l like it will only create more problems in an apocalypse, but they realize they have to take happiness any way they can get it in the current world they find themselves in.

The scene in the tunnel when they finally check the pregnancy test was a tender moment between the couple, and this revelation gave Sherry the surge of strength to dig them out of the tunnel. She wasn’t going to give up now, especially since they have their baby to think of. This was her MVP moment.

Sherry is a strong woman who has had to endure much since the outbreak. The trauma she experienced with Negan may never leave her, but at least now, she has a glimmer of hope.
