Michael James Shaw is known as the Commonwealth General named Mercer on The Walking Dead series. A relatively new character to the series is a long-awaited one by comic fans. His appearance on the series looked like he walked off the comic page. Shaw is known for many of his roles, one being Aiden Shaw on the series Blood & Treasure. 

TV Line reports that Blood & Treasure has set a release date of July 17 for its second season and will be moving from CBS to Paramount+. The second season will consist of 13 episodes; two released on July 17 and a new episode each Sunday following.

The series is created and written by Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia and is an action-adventure drama. Blood & Treasure follows a brilliant antiquities expert and a cunning art thief. In the first season, they partnered to find a terrorist who funded his attacks with stolen treasure.

In addition to Shaw, cast members include Matt Barr, Sofia Pernas, Katia Winter, James Callis, Oded Fehr, Alicia Coppola and Mark Gagliardi. This is a list of series regulars for season 1, assuming they will carry into season 2. 

The Walking Dead’s Michael James Shaw – other roles

Shaw joined The Walking Dead as Michael Mercer in season 11, which is the final of the series. He is the leader of the military and has proven himself to be quite capable in this position. It will be interesting to see where Mercer’s story goes as the series ends.

He is known for man roles, including Corvus Glave in Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War, which adds him to the list of Walking Dead actors in the MCU. He has also starred in The Enemy Within, Bull, Roots, Limitless, Desire in New York and The Wire.
