Fear the Walking Dead will air its 100th episode, “Amina,” on AMC on May 29. This episode will be available on AMC+ on May 22. To commemorate a milestone of this significance, this episode was directed by long-time Walking Dead universe director Michael Satrazemis with showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg writing. From the title, it has been speculated that this could be the episode that sees the return of fan-favorite character Madison Clark (Kim Dickens).
The back half of season 7 has seen many character-centric episodes leading up to the beginning of the war for the Tower. Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) still battles the fevers, and the dreams the fevers have induced have become more real. Strand (Colman Domingo), while sitting safe and sound in his tower, has become ever more paranoid since Morgan (Lennie James) tried to poison him.
The USS Pennsylvania, used as a haven for Morgan’s group, has started to leak radiation, requiring an evacuation. Morgan has taken Mo away via a raft to look for a safe place to keep her away from the radiation on the sub and the battle at the Tower. Many believe he will find PADRE during his search.
But, filming for the eighth season will be relocating to Savannah, Georgia, and this seems like the creators are setting things up for a move in that direction with this storyline. Texas and Georgia are very different, so it only makes sense for a move to occur. This is nothing new for Fear TWD, as this series has been set in Los Angeles and Mexico before settling in Texas.
Fear the Walking Dead 100th episode
The celebration of a 100th episode is something to be proud of as it is no small accomplishment. Many series don’t make it to this point, and although it has had its ups and downs, overall, it is a great apocalyptic series. One thing fans love about this series was it started at the beginning. It gave an account of how people learned what was happening at the onset of the outbreak. Throughout the series, the tone of things has changed several times, giving viewers many different perspectives of an apocalypse.
The series has been renewed for an eighth season, and many believe that could be the final, but there has been no official announcement to that effect.
The Walking Dead aired its 100th episode in 2017, with the season 8 premiere episode “Mercy.” It is hard to believe it has been that long ago.
