Walking Dead family, get to The Camp event Memorial Day weekend

The Walking Dead family is a group of people brought together by a series that began 12 years ago. Made up of people worldwide, this group consists of many people who have never met in real life and only interact online or via text or chat. Those located near one another can often be found organizing meet-ups at conventions or other places to connect with this family, not one that is biological, but one they chose. The Camp is an event created by members of TWD Family as an event to connect with others, meet celebrities, and have a great time in a family-friendly atmosphere over Memorial Day weekend and other times throughout the year.

The Camp doesn’t only bring people together, but this event is an event that raises funds for charities. During the May 2021 event, The Camp and its attendees raised over $7,500 for Veterans K9 Solutions, a 501(c) (3) non-profit that trains shelter dogs to assist veterans with day-to-day needs. So, you not only get to have a fantastic weekend, you get to contribute to a very worthwhile cause.

Click to see a complete list of guests for May 2022.  And, you never know who will show up unannounced and wander among the crowds. In the past unnamed Walking Dead actors have shown up, walked around, chatted with fans, took selfies, and quietly left.

This year’s event will be held May 28-29 in Peachtree City, GA, at The Hilton for the third year. This venue is perfect as there is ample room to meet all of your favorite actors, artists, and others while still having plenty of room to connect with members of TWD Family. There will be many vendors in attendance, photo ops, panels, and many special events.

Regular VIP tickets are still available until May 23. 

• VIP is an excellent option if you plan on staying off property during the event. All VIPs get entry into the event 1 hour early on Saturday and Sunday. Dinner on Saturday and Brunch on Sunday hand prepared by the executive chef at The Hilton. Each VIP ticket holder will receive four drink tickets to be used throughout the weekend. As a VIP, you will also get early access to pre-sales such as photo-ops and special events!

General Admission Tickets can be purchased online or at the event.

Photo Ops, there are several group photo-ops available and individual photo-ops as well. These can be pre-purchased online or purchased day-of, cash only. 

Special Events additional special events are scheduled over the weekend as well; these tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

• Friday Night Trivia – May 27, 5-7 p.m. come test your Walking Dead knowledge as your team is led by one of our celebrity guests. The ticket includes trivia, drinks, food, and merriment.
• Walking Dead Locations Tour with Josh Hamilton (Lance Hornsby) – May 28, 11 a.m., a 2-hour long bus tour of filming locations from The Walking Dead! Hop on a bus at The Hilton Peachtree City and tour locations from seasons 2-11 of The Walking Dead. Seating is very limited, with only 25 seats available. (5/22/2022 update) Josh Hamilton had to cancel his appearance so Okea Eme-Akwari (Elijah) will be taking his place on the film locations tour.

• Lunch with Lew Temple (Axel) – May 28, 12-1 p.m. This rare experience is limited to 10 attendees for one hour. This meal will be hosted at the restaurant at The Hilton. Included are your entree and one beverage.
• A Supernatural Lunch with Kim Rhodes and Briana Buckmaster – May 28, 1-2 p.m. Enjoy a private meal and conversation with The Supernatural Sheriffs, Kim Rhodes (Sheriff Jody Mills on Supernatural) and Briana Buckmaster (Sheriff Donna Hanscum on Supernatural). This rare experience is limited to 15 attendees for one hour. This meal will be hosted in the main restaurant at The Hilton with a special menu developed by The Hilton Executive Chef. Your meal includes a salad, entrée, dessert, and one alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage.
• Survive the Night with Teo Rapp-Olsson -May 28, 3:30-4:15 p.m. Come test your survival skills and play a game of Laser Tag with Teo Rapp-Olsson (Sebastian on TWD).
• Survive the Night with Angel Theory -May 28, 5:45-6:30 p.m. Come test your survival skills and play a game of Laser Tag with Angel Theory (Kelly on TWD).
• Survive the Night with Margot Bingham -May 28, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Come test your survival skills and play a game of Laser Tag with Margot Bingham (Max on TWD).
• The Camp Cosplay Party-May 28, 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. We are excited to announce our Cosplay party located in the ballroom at the Hilton Peachtree City Hotel. We will have a cash bar, DJ, celebrity guests, and the best Fanmily around! The Contest winner will receive a $250.00 cash prize! Cosplay is not required to attend!
• Survive the Night with Lew Temple & Nick Gomez -May 29, 12-1 p.m. Come test your survival skills and play a game of Laser Tag with Lew Temple and Nick Gomez (Axel and Tomas on TWD).
• Survive the Night with Josh Mikel -May 29, 12-1 p.m. Come test your survival skills and play a game of Laser Tag with Josh Mikel (Jared on TWD).
• Sunday Night PJ Party!  -May 29, 8-11 p.m. Grab your favorite pajamas and join us for a fun-filled evening. There will be celebrity guests, a cash bar, and a DJ for all to enjoy! All ages are welcome. Only ticket holders will be allowed inside.
• Paola Lazaro Presale Autographs and Selfies – Monday, May 30, 9:00-11:00 a.m. Paola will be doing selfies and autographs for a limited time. YOU MUST PRE-PURCHASE YOUR AUTOGRAPHS AND SELFIES, THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE SALES, and YOU MUST HAVE ADMISSION TO THE CAMP 2022 TO REDEEM YOUR TICKETS.
• Lunch with The Princess  -MONDAY, May 30, 3:00-4:00 p.m. This exclusive pizza party is very limited and will allow you some one-on-one time with Paola. All lunches include pizza and a non-alcoholic beverage and a selfie with Paola.
