Netflix is gearing up for the premiere of the highly anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things. The fourth season will be split into two volumes, the first releasing on May 27 and the second on July 1. Several actors that have starred on The Walking Dead also appear in Stranger Things.

Stranger Things is a sci-fi series set in the 1980s created for Netflix by the Duffer brothers. Season 1 premiered in July 2016, and it has drawn an international fanbase and record viewership on Netflix. The series mixes sci-fi, investigative drama, horror and the supernatural to make a wildly appealing series. The use of 80s nostalgia and infusion of pop culture and actors of that era have drawn that generation to the series.

The Duffer brothers drew inspiration from the works of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, Stephen King and H. P. Lovecraft, and anime and video games to come up with a unique story that fans can’t get enough of.
