Talking Dead returns on June 5 for Fear the Walking Dead season 7 finale
By Renee Hansen
Talking Dead has been on hiatus since the Fear the Walking Dead season 7 premiere in April 2022. AMC will air the final episode of this season of Fear TWD on June 5 and will be immediately followed by a new episode of Talking Dead.
The season 7 finale episode is titled “Gone” and will see the long-awaited return of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens). Dickens announced her return on the December 6, 2021, episode of Talking Dead to the delight of her fans, who have always thought she was still alive.
Fans have been very excited to see her again and to witness the reunion of Madison and her daughter Alicia. But, events from the most recent episode of the series have put an end to any hope of this pair being seen on screen anytime soon. Last week’s episode “Amina” was the final episode for Alycia Debnam-Carey, who has portrayed Alicia Clark for seven seasons. Alicia didn’t die, leaving room for her to return, but Debnam-Carey’s farewell post on social media doesn’t give much hope.
Talking Dead new episode
Talking Dead will return on June 5 and was originally scheduled to see Debnam-Carey as a guest, but that has now been changed as her schedule didn’t allow this. This week’s guests will now be Kim Dickens, Danay Garcia and EP Andrew Chambliss.
This should make for an interesting episode since it will follow Dickens’ first Fear TWD episode since 2018.
Dickens is set to become a series regular in season 8, which will begin filming in Savannah, Georgia, this summer. With all of the deaths in season 7, there will need to be an influx of characters to keep the story going. Perhaps Madison’s return and some new characters will breathe new life into the series.
