Fans of the Amazon original The Boys superhero series love the offbeat antihero stories. The cast includes many heavy hitters and many long to see The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan in at least a cameo appearance. This week, there have been contradicting reports as to whether or not fans will see Morgan in the fourth season of the series.

Entertainment Weekly appears to have the most reliable information regarding any appearance of Morgan in The Boys series. The media outlet recently interviewed creator Eric Kripke about a possible reunion between The Boys actor Jensen Ackles, Morgan and Kripke, who created Supernatural which Jensen and Ackles also starred.

In 2020 Kripke and Morgan had a conversation via Twitter exciting fans about Morgan appearing in season 3. This never transpired as Morgan was busy filming the final season of The Walking Dead and his many other projects.

The series hasn’t officially been renewed for a fourth season, but an announcement will likely come soon with its popularity. Season 3 of The Boys will premiere on June 3 on Amazon.

When Kripke was asked about Morgan appearing, he stated that the question had been asked, but he didn’t think it would happen. He elaborated:

"Sad for me, happy for him: He’s currently the lead, along with Lauren Cohan, on the Walking Dead spin-off. So, schedule-wise, I don’t know. We might still remain star-crossed, unfortunately, because I did ask. We had a role come up, and my first question was, ‘Well, is Jeffrey available?"

So, it sounds like it is unlikely but not entirely impossible if Morgan could squeeze it into his schedule.
