Fear the Walking Dead’s Demetrius Grosse cast in new role on ABC
By Renee Hansen
Demetrius Grosse is known for portraying the LaRoux brothers in Fear the Walking Dead. Emile was the bounty hunter hired by Virginia (Colby Minifie) to kill Morgan (Lennie James), and Josiah was Emile’s twin who was out for revenge on Morgan for killing his brother. Hopefully, we will see more of Josiah in season 8, but in the meantime, Grosse has been cast in a new role in an untitled pilot for ABC.
Deadline reported in May that Kay Oyegen’s drama pilot that follows five Philadelphia therapists had cast its lead roles. In this series, Grosse will join Sendhil Ramamurthy, Johnny Simmons, Rachel Hilson, Rahnuma Panthaky, and Marsha Stephanie Blake.
Blake plays Ellen Roman, a brilliant therapist and owner of the practice. The series focuses on the therapist working with their patients to develop individualized ways to handle their problems while also working with their personal issues.
Grosse has been cast as Det. Theodore Ghanem, a handsome, rugged, cocky, rough around the edges guy. He is a good guy with solid principles but isn’t afraid to bend the rules when needed.
