Today is National Chocolate Pudding Day and every fan of The Walking Dead will remember the scene when Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) eats a 112 Ounce can of pudding. The episode is from season 4 and is titled “After,” referring to what takes place after the prison’s fall.

The episode opens with a view of the prison overrun by walkers, and viewers see several dead bodies, including a gutted horse and the remains of the Governor. Michonne (Dania Gurira) looks on, katana at the ready, as the walkers are drawn towards fires burning in the prison. She once again acquires two pet walkers to help her travel freely through the horde.

As if viewers weren’t sad enough to see the prison in its current state, Michonne comes upon the reanimated head of Hershel (Scott Wilson), whom the Governor (David Morrissey) decapitated in the midseason finale episode of this season.

Que the theme song.

The Walking Dead season 4, episode 9 After

This episode follows Carl and Rick on their journey after leaving the prison, assuming Judith is dead and not knowing who else has survived. Carl is bitter and angry at his father, who has been beaten half to death in his altercation with the Governor. They eventually find a house to stay in to allow Rick time to recover. As he is in a near coma state, Carl goes on a few supply runs, one of which he will discover the huge can of pudding.

As Carl is scouring a house for supplies and food, he finds the pudding and hears something on the upper level of the house. He comes upon a walker and almost meets his demise. Luckily the walker only gets his shoe, prompting him to warn others by writing on the door, “Walker inside. Got my shoe. Didn’t get me”.  After fighting off the walker, he felt he deserved a treat and proceeded to consume all 112 oz. of the chocolaty goodness.

This episode also gave us this gem that never fails to make me laugh.
