The Walking Dead part 3 news should be announced at Comic Con 2022
By Renee Hansen
SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON will return with its first live event in two years on July 21-24. This is exciting news for fans of the event who are ready to get back to the excitement that can only be generated with an in-person event. AMC Networks will have a presence there, which will most likely include The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead and Tales of the Walking Dead.
Fans of The Walking Dead are most anxious to learn anything new about season 11, part 3 that will air the series’ final eight episodes. The only announcement, so far, has been that the episodes will air in the fall of 2022. October has traditionally been the series’ premiere month, and UW has speculated the premiere will happen on October 2.
It is expected that AMC will announce the premiere date and air the official trailer for the final chapter of the series. This is bittersweet as fans are excited to see what will happen next but are dreading the last episode of the long-running series.
The Walking Dead universe – Comic Con 2022
Regarding guests for Comic Con 2022, it may be challenging to wrangle many of the series regulars for the event, as several are off doing new projects since the final episode of TWD wrapped in March. But hopefully, they are excited to attend the final event for the series, and there is a good showing of talent that can make an appearance.
In previous years, AMC and The Walking Dead used SDCC to kick off promotion for the upcoming season in unique ways. We previously compiled TWD’s best moments at SDCC (up to 2020’s event) which included the series premiere trailer from 2010.
Fear the Walking Dead will be a difficult panel to have many actors in attendance as the series will have started filming its eighth season in Savannah, Georgia.
Tales of the Walking Dead, the newest series in the universe, set to premiere on August 14, will hopefully have a panel and an official trailer for its first season. Again, it may be challenging to have many of the actors in this series in attendance as it was a one-and-done episode for them, and they are undoubtedly off to new projects.
Less than a month from now, we should have news on The Walking Dead season 11 part 3 release date, which will be a welcome announcement. And there is sure to be more news from SDCC as well. As fans of this series, we look forward to and dread the information that comes from this event, as in the past, we have gotten good and bad news from the SDCC panels.
