Walking Dead: Last Mile release date, host announcements and more

Skybound Entertainment is bringing The Walking Dead: Last Mile interactive gaming experience exclusively to Facebook Gaming and Facebook Watch. Head to Last Mile Facebook and follow, so you don’t miss a thing.

The release date for the live-action game is Monday, July 11 at 4:00 p.m. PT and the hosts have been announced as Yvette Nicole Brown and Felicia Day. Brown will host the first interactive live stream that will see weekly releases. This game will feature a new cast of characters in an Alaskan village where the fans choose what happens next. You can choose to help or hinder what happens to the inhabitants of the community.

Below Brown explains all you need to know for the kick-off on July 11.

TWD: LM will be the next chapter in The Walking Dead saga in which Skybound has teamed with Genvid Entertainment to create a massively interactive live event (MILE), or a choose your own adventure if you will, in a tv format.

There will be weekly live streams with special guests, participant choices in the game will be revealed, story discussions, and highlights of the choices made by participants in the Facebook Instant Game. There will be new content weekly and daily minigames.

Brown is a Walking Dead super fan who has been a featured guest on several episodes of Talking Dead and is known for her roles in Community and Family Guy. 

Day is known for her roles on Supernatural and The Guild, which is loosely based on her life as a gamer, and she will star in the upcoming Star Wars: Detours. 

The cinematic trailer for The Walking Dead: Last Mile was recently released during the IGN Expo.
