The Walking Dead universe is full of beautiful people. And not just outwardly, but people who are giving, gracious, and all-around good humans make their goodness and beauty flow out to all those who encounter them. Two of those good humans are Peter Zimmerman and Jeremy Palko, who portrayed Hilltop residents in the series.
Palko portrayed Andy, a Hilltop resident who served as the exchanger between the Hilltop and Saviors, who eventually killed him. His first introduction to the series was when he, Ethan (Justin Kucsulain), and some others arrived at Hilltop, and Ethan tried to kill Gregory (Xander Berkely) on Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) orders. This led to a fight with newly arrived Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his crew, and Andy had his arm broken by Daryl (Norman Reedus).
Zimmerman portrayed Eduardo, one of the wall guards who just faded away, never to be seen again. He was first seen with Kal (James Chen) guarding the gate at Hilltop when Jesus (Tom Payne) first brings Rick and his group to the community.
This week Zimmerman posted a photo of a reunion between himself and Palko to the delight of Walking Dead fans.
The Walking Dead’s Peter Zimmerman and Jeremy Palko
Since departing the series, both men have been very busy with new projects.
Zimmerman was seen in several roles after leaving The Walking Dead, including Jungle Cruise, Cooking Up Christmas, Sistas, The Long Road and Bigger. Since then, he has also released several new songs; check him out on Spotify and started PLZ Pictures.
Palko has also had several roles since leaving TWD, Tales, Ruthless, Saints & Sinners, MacGyver, Unbreakable: Live to Tell, The Passage, and Pitch Perfect 3. During the pandemic, he picked up a paintbrush and realized he is a talented artist. Check out his Art by Palko Instagram page for samples of his work and purchase some! I was able to attend his painting class at The Camp in May 2022. It was so much fun!
Please be sure to support these two hard-working members of TWD Family.
